Dr. Baxter graduated from the SUNY Upstate Medical University College of Medicine and completed his residency in Family Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, NY. He did front line primary care for 35 years and was also Program Director for the Arnot Ogden Family Medicine Residency Program in Elmira, NY for 10 years. Dr. Baxter is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. His personal teaching interests include the care of children and adolescents and bridging generational differences in learning styles. When not working, his hobbies include weightlifting, pistol shooting, playing the piano and reading the works of Brandon Sanderson (iykyk).
